Oola Doulas of Minnesota
THE DOULAS

Choosing someone to be a member of your birth team is a big deal. Your doula should be someone you connect with and feel safe with. You need to be heard and feel supported during this intimate time. The Oola Doulas would love to be this person for you and look forward to an interview to see if we can be that integral, seamless fit for you, your partner and baby.

We will tell you all about us individually, but one common question we are always asked in interviews is how we met and became doulas together. Erin and Rachelle worked together as nurses in the OBGYN clinic of CentraCare. They swapped birthing stories, life goals and before you knew it they were becoming DONA trained doulas with the well renowned Enlightened Mama and Liz Naylor out of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Our newest addition to the team, Caitlin, is a long-time family friend of Rachelle's and once served as a babysitter for her two daughters! Caitlin is also an RN, currently works for CentraCare Surgical Center and is also DONA trained.

We all have our niche and pregnancy and birth are mine. I’ve known from a young age that I would be involved in pregnancy and birth. From watching episodes of “A Baby Story” as a kid to now serving clients as a doula. My admiration and curiosity for learning about pregnancy and birth have not wavered. I would love to hold the space for you and help you and your family achieve your ideal birth.

Hi, my name is Rachelle. My journey as a Doula started after having a pretty traumatic first birth that ended with general anesthesia and a c-section. Statistically speaking, I knew that my chances of having a successful vaginal birth after cesarean were greater with professional labor support and I wanted the least amount of interventions as possible with my second child. I did not achieve my vaginal birth, however, I did get through spontaneous ruptured membranes and 28 hours of labor! I could not have made it through it without my doula or have felt as comfortable with my experience without her. It's my pleasure and honor to be involved in helping families achieve their best birth - judgment free, and full of support. I have a passion for women's health and believe that pregnancy is and should be treated as what it truly is: a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Hello! I’m so glad you’re here! A little about me... I am a Jesus loving momma, wife, nurse, health junkie, love a good adventure...a bit crunchy, and BIRTH OBSESSED! My passion for pregnancy, birth, mommas and babies started as just a young girl knowing exactly when to catch a “Birth Story” on TLC, playing an OB during any game of house and wanting to hear all the details of anyone's birth story! I realized I didn’t want to go to school that long, nor did I care for the schedule of a doctor, but that passion has never gone away. I knew after having my own first birth, I needed to pursue that path more. Being a birth doula allows me to share my passion and allows me to serve other women during one of the most beautiful and transformational life events, whether it be a first time momma or the sixth! I would be honored to support you and your family through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
